Wedding photography in New England, Boston, Nantucket, Rhode Island, and Mexico! 2018 was my 14th year photographing weddings. This year brought me to several new venues, as well as some old favorites. I was invited to Nantucket to photograph a Summer wedding at The White Elephant. I had the opportunity to visit The Ocean House in Rhode Island to photograph a beautiful Fall Wedding, and was giventhe privilege of traveling to Tulum, Mexico to bear witness to a sweet vow renewal. It was fun to revisit some local favorite venues as well. I loved being back at The Boston Public Library, Turner Hill, The Mandarin Oriental Boston, and MIT Chapel, among others.
At the end of each wedding season, I sit down for days on end, and revisit each wedding. And each year, as I look through image after image, I can’t help but feel humbled and honored that I have been invited in to bear witness to and capture such intimate moments. To be invited in requires trust, vulnerability, and honesty. I am grateful to each and every person who trusted me enough to be themselves in front of my camera.
A large part of my work, is becoming a fly on the wall to allow the days events unfold naturally, without direction. Of course there is a time for direction and guidance during portraits, but I spend the majority of the event watching and clicking the shutter when the moment is right.
Below are just SOME representations of the unscripted, spontaneous moments I was able to create this past year. Congratulations to all of my beautiful couples. May your images continue to bring you joy for many years to come.
